#14 Gorgeous People in Enchanting Places

So one my clients and now friend, Nicole, lives in Cordoba with her girlfriend (also now my friend) Angela. Nicole is from the US but moved to Spain 2 years ago and happened to find me on Instagram! (How cool!!) After coaching Nicole for a month or 2 virtually we met in person at a 7s tournament that both of our teams we’re playing in (Again, how cool!!) The sweet souls invited me to hang with them in the gorgeous little town of Cordoba and show me around.

Quick entertaining sidetrack on Nic, she just recently made the Andalusian select team (even though she’s not a Spanish citizen lol - incredible, proud, PUMPED). She also has a dog with some behavioral issues who was recently sent to a woman in the mountains for training. Nic recently took up Krav Maga because the mountain woman and elite dog trainer told her she needs to practice having more suave y sutil (soft and subtle) energy. So yes, these are just some of my favorite fast facts about Nic.

Anyways, Sara and I decided to BlaBlaCar our way up to Cordoba to explore and hangout with Nic and Angela. Cordoba is filled with adorable tiny cobblestone streets, walls covered in potted flowers, gorgeous picturesque court yards, and for this weekend - a heart happy Dana.

Nic and Angela took us to their favorite restaurant that they frequently visit and HOLY crap it was incredible. So the thing is I can’t tell you exactly what I ate but I can tell you it made me feel absolutely blissful. I know one part of the plate was ramen with of course, an egg, and the second part of the plate was some type of pastry that included a magnificent creamy cheese. Here is us, all smiles from our experience:

Basically, Cordoba was 10/10; for the food, the company, the flowers, the architecture, and the overall adventure. :)

On our way to Cordoba we passed by fields and FIELDS of sunflowers! Absolutely gorgeous rolling hills of bright yellow. I later made the connection that literally everything here is made with sunflower oil and sunflower seeds are incredibly popular hence the plethora of sunny spectacular sunflowers spread across Andalusia. Of course, we decided one day we had to get a closer look at those glorious babies. About a week later Lasso, Sara, Balma, and I ventured off to a lake for the day that was perfectly situated next to a field of sunflowers. We wandered into the lined field of sunflowers all smiling from ear to ear. And then, what’s that? Oh yes, I had the sudden urge to be naked.

There was something so grounding, freeing, and just simply HAPPY about the sun shining down on your totally nude body in a field of sunflowers swaying side to side in the wind as if they we’re saying “Hello! Glad you could join us!” And glad I was!

And that’s really all I have to say about that so, I hope you take some of this naked sunflower energy with you and

HAVE YOURSELF A GREAT DAY.
